Customer Insight: an online conference

Posted by Ingrid Koehler on May 15, 2008

I’ve been involved in a number of online conferences focused on policy and performance themes in local government and have found they’re a great way of bringing people together to discuss a range of approaches around a particular issue. Time it right – and there is a wealth of emerging practice some already proven, some with potential and the outputs of the conference (a snappy distillation of proceedings) can be used to develop appropriate user-generated guidance or to influence key decision makers as they shape future policy.

We’ve got just that nexus of opportunities right now with customer insight – that is how we gather, store, analyse and use information about citizens and users of local government and partnership services to drive improvement and deliver the right things to the right people.

So I’m very happy to announce the latest online event supported by the Policy and Performance Community of Practice: Customer Insight: an Online Conference which takes place between 10 and 20 June 2008. We’ve identified a range of great speakers from councils, partners, central government and regulators. It’s a great chance to learn and share with others in the sector and to engage with those shaping the agenda on customer insight, local area agreements (LAA) and comprehensive area assessments (CAA) and more.
